Created by Pierre Bourdon in 1988, Davidoff Cool Water Eau de Toilette is a milestone in the history of perfumery. It is the fragrance that drew a line in men's fragrances, dividing all fragrances into before and after Cool Water. Moreover, the perfumery that has come after is what we know as modern fougère—super fresh, aquatic perfumes that have very little in common with classic fougères from the time before Cool Water.

Cool Water’s perfume composition is based on a sophisticated use of aromatic herbs such as lavender, mint, and rosemary enriched with the deep oak moss, woody notes, amber, and musk. After a sharp and poignant opening that one just has to endure, Cool Water instead of tempest turns into a calm sea on a summer morning. The balance of fresh and sensual notes cannot be compared to anything, just like the lastness and projection of the perfume.

Said to be Davidoff’s boldest project since the launch of Cool Water in 1988, Davidoff Run Wild fragrances take inspiration from the raw and mysterious power of nature and creates a new identity for brand.

Run Wild Eau de Toilette was developed by Alexandra Carlin and Pierre Gueros. It blends more than six natural ingredients to create an aromatic spicy scent.

The heart notes are composed of wild lavender sourced from the American southeast. Wild lavender is a plant that survives through extreme weather conditions and grows on arid soil, representing the “resilient spirit” of Run Wild. Meanwhile, the top notes are from warm and incandescent cinnamon sourced from Madagascar, balanced out with the powerful base notes of fir balsam.

Crafted by Aliénor Massenet and Emilie Coppermann, Run Wild Woman Eau de Parfum is described as a masterclass in balance.

The unusual top note is made from pistachio cream creating a “slightly off-kilter” scent that is complemented by the zesty pomegranate. The resultant fruity explosion is balanced by delicate floral jasmine heart notes.

A call back to breath taking nature, precious, and floral sensuality, the flacon for Run Wild Woman Eau de Parfum is a softer reinterpretation of its male counterpart's architectural lines, heavy facetted glass, and engraved metal cap. It reveals a soothing, lighter shade of green, which is seldom used in fragrance, but a deliberate choice by Davidoff to fully represent the scents’ strong link to nature.
