A Legacy of Extraordinary Style
It was in 1952 when husband and wife Bienvenido "Benny" Tantoco Sr. and Gliceria "Glecy" Rustia-Tantoco brought back beautiful and unique products from their trips abroad to show to their friends in the comfort of the living room of their San Marcelino home.
As more and more people visited their house to view Glecy's exemplary product selections, the couple decided to open their very first store in Old Manila's San Marcelino Street.

Over six decades later, the humble shop evolved into the retail giant we now know as RUSTAN GROUP OF COMPANIES, or what we simply know as Rustan's, a combination of the couple's surnames, Rustia and Tantoco.
Throughout the almost 70 years since it opened its doors to the public, Rustan's has opened its department store in five major locations, launched four boutique stores, and has licensed more than 2,000 international brands to the company.

Indeed, Rustan's has redefined the landscape of luxury retailing in the Philippines—and continues to do just that.
Apart from becoming synonymous to the most luxurious brands in the market, the Rustan's name continued to evolve into an all-encompassing lifestyle for the most discriminating customers. It introduced Rustan Marketing Corporation in 1964, bringing a diversified portfolio of brands in the country; Store Specialists Inc in 1987, which has become the largest operator of high-end specialty stores; Royal Duty Free in 1993, the number one duty-free store in Subic; Rustan Coffee Corporation Inc in 1997, bringing the famous coffee chain Starbucks in Manila; and Sta. As Rustan’s continues to evolve and reinvent itself, the brand has remained true to its commitment to "serving the finest" to its distinguished customers.
