The New Fashion Trend: Zoom Fashion
EDITOR'S NOTE
It started out as a joke in the previous years—"business on top, pajamas on bottom." But this time around, it's an actual reality.
For most people, myself included, working from home has become the new norm. After a whole year, my usual morning drive from my condo to the office has become a short and quick journey from my bed to my work table. I must admit that adjusting to this has been a great big challenge (as I am not a fan of working from home), but I have come to realize and accept that a semblance of routine is a big help.
Over the past year, we've all learned how to do everything via our computer screens, from meetings with officemates to wine and cheese nights with your girl friends. Admit it—while the collared shirt-and-comfy-leggings pair worked out, you really didn't think it would last more than a few weeks. You're probably re-evaluating those handy work-from-home tops and blouses you've had on rotation. And if that's true, then you could probably use a refresher for the summer.
Below, I've rounded up some of the tops I recommend to add to your cart for your next Zoom call. You know, those with the little details that would look really nice on video from puffy sleeves to flattering necklines. I'll even throw in a few accessories you can consider too! In the hopes of bringing some excitement to work, and giving yourself a boost of energy and creativity, here are some of my picks. (By the way, no one has to know you're still wearing leggings or sweatpants or shorts all day long.)

ALL DECKED OUT
It's always an empowering feeling when you know you have a reason to look great. A simple act like adding that pair of chandelier earrings to your bright periwinkle top can give someone that perky boost.
Who knows, your vivacious work outfits may turn into a screen sensation that your colleagues demand you show yourself on the very rare occasion your video's off.

ELEVATE YOUR ZOOM WARDROBE
From bright colors to punchy prints to statement accessories, these are the pieces that have claimed the "center stage" in fashion these days. Elevating your virtual hangouts look lets you feel confident even when you're "trapped" inside.
Casual chic is a day-to-day style you can't go wrong with—even outside of quarantine. You want to look stylish but also be comfortable. It's all about finding that balance.

IT'S ALL IN THE DETAILS
You may feel like all the time and effort of picking out what to wear is all for nothing. But it doesn't have to be. Go ahead and put on that favorite top you've been dying to wear, add your go-to pair of earrings, do up your hair, put a little makeup on.
Those little details make it all worthwhile.
