It all started with a color treatment gone wrong. Carmen Tal had her first brush with argan oil somewhere unexpected—on the other side of the world. She was traveling in Israel when a bad color process damaged her hair. Disappointed with the results, she was accompanied by a friend to a salon in Tel Aviv, where a hairstylist used an oil treatment to condition and style Carmen's hair.
