The last quarter of the year is here and that means the party invites are starting to pour in like crazy! There is definitely no shortage of celebrations. With the festive season looming, looking fab and glam at parties is definitely something to plan. After all, you may be meeting up with friends and family after not seeing each other in a while. Wouldn't you like to look your best?
Time to get ready and party.
5:00 pm - the invitation
Receiving an invitation means it’s another party again and what best way to start is by deciding what to wear. Begin by calming yourself to a good bath and then lounging to something comfortable like your Natori set. Start with your skin-care routine before putting on some makeup. And don't forget to sip on some hot tea to soothe yourself before ramming it up later at the after-party. Call on your friends and plan ahead on how and where to meet and do after-party.
Never forget to RSVP on your invites. Letting people know that you are coming is courtesy to the host. It also gives the host a heads up to the number of people they will need to prepare. Check on who's definitely coming and see if you get the same sitting area. Having someone to chat at the start of the party is one of the little perks you can get when you confirm attending.
5:30 pm - what to wear?
Time to get ready! Bring out all your best dresses, from classy Criselda ensembles to sparkly SHO dresses. They are enough to start creating your look for any type of party. Glam or chic? You decide what goes best with the party’s theme. A classy but fashion-forward Criselda gown is great for all Christmas parties you need to attend, while a glamorous and body-fitting SHO gown can be your go-to-staple for all that year-end party your friends organized.
6:00 pm - the little things
Accessorizing is easy if you get the gist of your look for the night. "To complement your outfit" is what you need to remember. The right bag, the right jewelry, and the perfect pair of shoes are key to completing your look and what best way to start is to lay down all your options. As you decide what to wear, you have to see all your favorite accessories from heirloom to new buys and start building up your puzzle piece.
6:30 pm - playing dress up
You still have time in your hands. Dress up in your chosen ensemble and see if everything works. Turn your bedroom into a decked-out dressing room to check out what you’ve planned for the party. This is your chance to unleash the diva in you! There is nothing wrong with checking how your whole look is. In fact, it is encouraged. Just don’t forget to keep some of your energy for the great party later tonight.
7:00 pm - selfie time
Before you leave, make sure you take a lot of photos of all your created looks. It can be a reference for the next party you'll be attending—or even if you just feel like posting on Instagram for good measure. Looking fab and glam is not just dependent on your outfit alone, it's also about how you feel wearing the outfit. Let that confidence shine throughout the night.
8:00 pm - let's go to party
Time to go! Check your essentials before you leave. Going to a party means carrying only a small bag, so make sure you only bring what you really need. Don't forget to bring your lipstick for the night to do touch-ups every now and then. Band-aids, you’ll never know when you'll need one. A small pack of chocolate to nib along for that quick sugar rush when food yet to be served. And maybe, some floss, if something gets stuck on your teeth.
One last tip—and it's probably the most important thing to do: Always enjoy your night and have fun!
