Freedom of movement, the clothes of this season exude a chic, dynamic, and desirable style.
Fall-Winter 2024: Longchamp Team Spirit
Did you know that the Longchamp woman is a city dweller who thrives in community? The spirit of teamwork and the belief that unity is strength are the foundations of her optimistic philosophy. Even though her energy is boundless, she remains attentive to her well-being and shares special moments with her loved ones in cafes or yoga studios. She is always on the move yet remains committed to true elegance.
"I love the idea of balance between elegance and sensuality, not forgetting a certain dynamism and a good dose of well-being," announces Sophie Delafontaine, artistic director of Longchamp.
Asserting oneself with elegant confidence is the goal of this collection. This begins with the choice of materials like stretch leather, a true second skin that the House masters since leather is part of its expertise. The added bonus? This stretch lambskin leather is machine washable and it can be packed for travel without needing an iron. In a T-shirt dress version, it adapts to all styles, from casual to chic when properly belted. The same goes for knitwear, which occupies a significant portion of this collection and allows total freedom of movement.
This freedom is also respected with recycled polyester, which is very environmentally conscious. The standout model in this material: the kimono jacket with its taffeta effect, perfect for wearing from the office to the disco. Nods to the Le Pliage® bag are sprinkled throughout the collection, including the Cabas Longchamp Re-Play, which is made from end of roll stock of nylon or the jacket with a pocket reminiscent of Le Pliage® flap. Another standout in the collection is the elegant trench coat of the Parisian, which is infused with the dynamism of the American Teddy jacket.
On her feet, the Longchamp woman alternates between ballet flats, inspired by those of dancers, and boots with sneaker soles. In hand or over the shoulder, two bags stand out: the Daylong, a new calfskin leather bag inspired by bowling bags, which has all the makings of becoming iconic and Le Roseau, with its signature bamboo clasp. Born over 30 years ago, it has been reimagined to achieve an architecturally sleek form that is already timeless.
"The ultimate goal of this collection? To empower women with clothing that has a strong personality yet is comfortable to wear," comments Sophie Delafontaine. "I love to offer clothes that give women the power to express themselves."
