Isa, Digital Campaigns Manager
Having been in the digirati for many years as a digital campaigns manager, what finally convinced Isa to travel was the hope of seeing the beautiful landmarks of the world before it's too late. For her, travel was mainly a trip with the family, but with the pandemic basically forcing everyone to stay at home; she soon realized how nice it is to plan a trip to the wonders of the world and witness them in their full glory.

Isa: No concrete travel plans yet, but Eastern Europe is my current dream destination.
BATANES
Mags, Editorial Manager
Solo traveling has been a part of Mags' lifestyle for the better part of the past decade or so. At times, she finds the urge to go somewhere out of the blue that she'll just book a ticket with just a few taps on her phone. But being forced to stay at home for a long period of time due to the lockdown made her miss what she enjoyed doing when she travels: interacting with the locals of the places she visits and immersing herself in their culture.

When traveling, are you more likely to travel domestically or abroad? Why?
Mags: I love traveling domestically because there’s still a lot to discover. I’ve only been to 42 provinces in the country so there’s still a lot to go to. That being said, I do enjoy flying off to other countries now and then for the same reasons I enjoy traveling locally—to meet locals and to learn from them.
Are you planning to travel anytime soon? Where to? Any attractions or landmarks that we shouldn’t miss?
Mags: I hope that I get to travel frequently again. I used to travel twice a month pre-pandemic.
I would love to fly to Batanes again. It would be my fifth time to go there if or when that happens. I'm just in love with that place! The people are among the nicest ones I’ve met. I love being disconnected with my devices and just enjoying the rawness of the province. Every time I go there, I make sure to always visit Racuh a Payaman (known as Marlboro Hills to tourists). A place that people shouldn’t also miss is the Maywang A Libro Du Vatan or the Blank Book Archives of Batanes. Open up a book so you can write about your experience or read about other people’s experiences of Batanes.

Nana, Creative Producer
There is always a thrill when Nana boards a plane. She has been traveling alone or with friends internationally, once or twice a year, before the pandemic hit. Reuniting with old friends was her sole reason to travel abroad, ever since she studied abroad. But seeing different cultures and experiencing the local way of living makes it the better. It hits differently when the world becomes small when you travel.

When traveling, are you more likely to travel domestically or abroad? Why?
Nana: My parents were both from Mindanao. Since then, we would travel every Christmas to my parent's hometown by sea or land, almost exploring different areas in the Philippines, especially Mindanao. However, my goal to travel the world has been more sure since I dream to meet old friends in their home countries. So far, I've done it with classmates from Indonesia and Taiwan.
Are you planning to travel anytime soon? Where to? Any attractions or landmarks that we shouldn’t miss?
Nana: I've been itching to travel soon again that I have been scrolling on airline websites for plane tickets. Once international travels are back, my goal would be to visit South Korea again and eat good food. It has been five years since my last visit and I miss my favorite places and the food. I recommend going to traditional markets to eat and visiting local tourist spots than common foreign favorites.

Jason, E-Merchandise Planner
What Jason misses the most is traveling. From visiting at least two international destinations a year, he now spends his free time learning to play tennis. Despite the newfound hobby and skill, travel is still something he looks forward to, especially since he is the one in charge of planning their itinerary, searching for deals, packing for travel, and of course, the food and the adventure.

When traveling, are you more likely to travel domestically or abroad? Why?
Jason: Abroad, I love trying the local cuisines and dishes of other countries and exploring new places as it expands my perspective. Also, I like to travel during winter since it’s always summer here in the Philippines.
Are you planning to travel anytime soon? Where to? Any attractions or landmarks that we shouldn’t miss?
Jason: Hopefully, next year, I’d be able to visit Switzerland and experience paragliding in Grindelwald.
As airports open now for leisure travel domestically and in some countries such as Singapore and Thailand, why not plan ahead and shop for things you'll certainly need as you hop to that plane ride. Hoping to see you travel soon!
