The Mediterranean-themed Blossoms collection was created by perfumers Alexis Dadier and Michel Almairac, with the British brand's head of fragrance Céline Roux. When asked about the inspiration behind the new collection, Roux tells the story of a trip she took back in 2017 to the Sardinia and was fascinated by a flower called lys des sables or lily of the sands, which in England is known as the sea daffodil.
While it was challenging to strike the right balance between delicacy, transparency, sensuality, and addiction, the team retained elements of vanilla without overwhelming the delicacy of the flower. After much back and forth between creating variations that were too warm and deep or too light or aquatic, finally the Blossom fragrance was made that is both transparent and addictive.
This year's Blossom collection consists of two new, limited-edition fragrances: Sea Daffodil and Bitter Mandarin, with the Silk Blossom fragrance, which is a comeback from previous seasons.
